A Missionary\u2019s heart<\/p>\n

It has been 4 years since God brought us to Rostov-on-Don. Reflecting on my time here, I am grateful for the many people who have helped us in many different ways, such as helping us get settled in a new church, repairing the mission center, supporting the Korean school in various ministries, and for the ministers who worked hard by my side. And above all, I thank God for everything.<\/p>\n

Though it has been decided I would come to Rostov on Don in 2018, I continued to pray and wait for God\u2019s promise and assurance in sending me to this city. Then God has the words of John 3:16, \u201cGod so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son\u2026\u201d But when I read aloud \u201cso loved the world\u201d, I suddenly bursted into tears and cried for a long time when I read the words \u201cSO.\u201d The indescribable love of God the Father contained in that single word, \u201cSO,\u201d touched me so deeply that I couldn’t keep reading due to the tears in my eyes. It was evident that this was the heart of our Heavenly Father, who showed how much God loved His people in Rostov-on-Don. And another word is, \u201cUnless a grain of wheat falls and dies, it remains there; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.\u201d As we painfully go through the difficulties of war together more and more during these times, I am beginning to think more realistically about death and the end of my life. I ask myself, in what form and where will I face the end of my life? As this question floats in my mind, I become more determined to keep praying and to prepare well so that in the end, I will not be ashamed to stand before God.<\/p>\n

When I face problems that cause me to fear, such as repeatedly leaving and entering the country due to status issues, or encountering crises and difficulties due to living as a missionary in this country, I pray until I have a heart that is not afraid of death and danger, and I begin to feel that God is giving me a stronger and more courageous heart. Every time I set foot on this land again with a heart of \u201cIf I die, I will die,\u201d God opened up the path of ministry again and gave me strength and courage to continue serving Him.<\/p>\n

When I have to leave the US to re-enter Russia, I tearfully pray for 3 days before the departure because I am afraid that I will cry too much when I am separated from my sons Nuree and Haree. I pray for 3 days so that I can say goodbye to my children with a smile instead of sad tears, with boldness instead of sadness. And when I come to Russia and feel sad because I miss them so much, I decide not to think about them at all. When I think about it, I keep wanting to see them more, so I’m afraid my heart will weaken.<\/p>\n

However, when it comes time to leave Rostov again, I do not want to leave Rostov. I become sad that I have to leave the saints in Rostov for a long time. I can’t do what I want to do, and when God says go, I go, and when God says come, I have to come. I am a powerless person.<\/p>\n

Who am I and what kind of missionary am I? I cannot do anything unless God gives me strength, and I am nothing without God. God gave me power and purpose here in Rostov, and I am His instrument to pray for this land and to be fully dedicated to serve and do the work God asks me to do.<\/p>\n

\u041a\u0451\u043d\u0445\u0438 \u0414\u0436\u0430\u043d A Missionary\u2019s heart It has been 4 years since God brought us to Rostov-on-Don. Reflecting on my time here, I am grateful for the many people who have helped us in many different ways, such as helping us get settled in a new church, repairing the mission center, supporting the Korean school in various ministries, and for the ministers who worked hard by my side. And above all, I thank God for everything. Though it has been decided I would come to Rostov on Don in 2018, I continued to pray and wait for God\u2019s promise and assurance in sending me to this city. Then God has the words of John 3:16, \u201cGod so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son\u2026\u201d But when I read aloud \u201cso loved the world\u201d, I suddenly bursted into tears and cried for a long time when I read the words \u201cSO.\u201d The indescribable love of God the Father contained in that single word, \u201cSO,\u201d touched me so deeply that I couldn’t keep reading due to the tears in my eyes. It was evident that this was the heart of our Heavenly Father, who showed how much God loved His people in Rostov-on-Don. And another word is, \u201cUnless a grain of wheat falls and dies, it remains there; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.\u201d As we painfully go through the difficulties of war together more and more during these times, I am beginning to think more realistically about death and the end of my life. I ask myself, in what form and where will I face the end of my life? As this question floats in my mind, I become more determined to keep praying and to prepare well so that in the end, I will not be ashamed to stand before God. When I face problems that cause me to fear, such as repeatedly leaving and entering the country due to status issues, or encountering crises and difficulties due to living as a missionary in this country, I pray until I have a heart that is not afraid of death and danger, and I begin to feel that God is giving me a stronger and more courageous heart. Every time I set foot on this land again with a heart of \u201cIf I die, I will die,\u201d God opened up the path of ministry again and gave me strength and courage to continue serving Him. When I have to leave the US to re-enter Russia, I tearfully pray for 3 days before the departure because I am afraid that I will cry too much when I am separated from my sons Nuree and Haree. I pray for 3 days so that I can say goodbye to my children with a smile instead of sad tears, with boldness instead of sadness. And when I come to Russia and feel sad because I miss them so much, I decide not to think about them at all. When I think about it, I keep wanting to see them more, so I’m afraid my heart will weaken. However, when it comes time to leave Rostov again, I do not want to leave Rostov. I become sad that I have to leave the saints in Rostov for a long time. I can’t do what I want to do, and when God says go, I go, and when God says come, I have to come. I am a powerless person. Who am I and what kind of missionary am I? I cannot do anything unless God gives me strength, and I am nothing without God. God gave me power and purpose here in Rostov, and I am His instrument to pray for this land and to be fully dedicated to serve and do the work God asks me to do.
